They are holding everyone and everything back in society (it’s a huge conspiracy, don’t you know).

The simple proposal that they can be something better and new and allow for emancipation of their fellow brethren is too much for them
they need everyone to conform to the old way of doing things!

Try to identify the baseline state and behaviour. The baseline is conformity, thus there is no proposal to conform, only the proposal to uncomform.

There’s a default behaviour of conformity, and anyone who is ready to stop conforming is going to need to do the thing being proposed - so conformity can end!

The politicians, aristocrats, nepotists, billionaires, the academic institutions, the regulatory authorities, sports starts, teenaged pop singers, popular self-help authors, family members, coworkers, television films and programs, stand-up comedians and even your boss at work are all communicating that they expect you will have already done the thing to become a non-conformist.

Of COURSE everyone must do this and only the undesirable, repugnant, disgusting, despicable gutterlings of society would not have done so already.

And, if that’s not enough, they’ll explicitly ask you to and put up a road block such that you can’t do things necessary for your sustained survival unless you perform the act of becoming a non-comformist!

a) There is a magical, invisible connection which exists exclusively between beings because of some set of attributes

b) There is a structure which symbolizes a collective that can serve to help you transcend

Ideology

It’s easy talking about ideology when you believe your position is the absence of ideology, but Marxism literally believes this to be the case.

Ideology is that which rationalizes labour - that which rationalizes your reducing the entire human species from the means of you realizing yourself as human, to simply a means of you maintaining your biological existence,
nullifying not only your own potential to create your true vision for reality, but even that of whomsoever you are exploiting.

Given that any prospect for humanity’s emancipation rests on the ability to negate labour as a means of survival, you are standing in the way!

No downsides, of course.

Those advocating for lockdowns are either casually supporting them out of fear (borne of ignorance), or they support authoritarian colllectivism due to an affiliction with some combination of narcissism, nihilism, psychopathy, sociopathy.

Can it be proven? Yes, it’s very easy, because:

1. They will not enumerate any significant downside to lockdowns, yet they;
2. Aren’t engaged in advocating for permanent lockdowns.

If there’s no downside, and you are so concerned with saving lives, then why wouldn’t you aim to make lockdowns permanent?

The truth is that, even if they knew the net effect was not in their favour, they would still believe it effective because it is a strategy to enforce compliance, thus the effectiveness is evaluated in terms of a meta-effectiveness towards any future threat which MIGHT be appropriate.

Their words sound great.

Of course, collectivism imposes a belief that one’s own subjectivity is present in the minds of others, and causes one to suspect a lack of humanity when contradictions arise. This leads to the greatest form of hate, which rejects the perceptual frame of each being.

Ultimately, there is no collective being, and what one is practicing is selfish navel-gazing with the comfort that the superstructure will wield the force necessary to impose it on non-believers.

It is a religion.

Collectivism is just Altruism?

You selflessly carry the pain of everyone else’s concerns, to your own detriment, and are expendable so long as to yield net improvement those who are not you.

Why expend myself? I am useful to improve the world

Then Collectivism is improving the world?

Anyone can describe themselves as doing that without being a part of an ist or ism or whatever group culture.

Why even mention collectivism? Why not devote some amount of one’s time and resources to improving the world?

One responds: that’s the same thing! Everytime you try to improve the world it’s Collectivism

Everytime you successfully improve the world? or simply believe to have improved the world?

The contention over what improves the world is precisely that - to posit that this is the standard which makes it Collectivism is preposterous, but becomes easier to understand when you find the real difference: A theory about final conditions which can only be made possible because the subject and object are co-continuous.

That is, everyone will want to do X because they live in Y.

Because it’s impossible to delimit clear lines of intent in any thought or action, the standard for advocating collectivism becomes allegiance to theory, and adoption of praxis.

We believe we are the collective, because we both declare the right ism and intent to perform praxis.

But the moment a contradiction presents, one of us is no longer within the collective and will have to be transformed, or discarded. Perhaps even millions of us.

Why expect that one might unearth the fortune of existence in the mastery of what unfolds before them?

That is, what is feasible to engage regardless of the degree to which a social infrastructure is edified and developed to maturity. If all else fails, with nothing more than modest biological capacities through which to move and survive. With no assistance by state and no support of peers.
Just any inherent potential to develop a faculty for this realm. One conscious window to existence, one teleological endpoint - a single terminal yielding perceptual frame.

If there were nothing more, would one accept the entire premise as farce? Incoherent experience resolving purpose as expression of rejected being.

If that is the one terminal endpoint to existence, with no more known of it, then is perception not purpose? Accordingly, any formulated abstraction is composed in non-primitive terms with significance assigned per direction of the terminal’s operator.

There can be no other cause or beholden entity beyond that which is known.

Thus the expression in that frame and its realized meaning are all composed through assignment of experience to reality, made through laws of the system and sentiment applied in perception.
